Ripe Thinking, the insurtech specialist, was named Personal Lines Broker of the Year at the prestigious Insurance Times Awards 2019.
At a ceremony held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Ripe was awarded Gold by the judges who were impressed by the company’s ‘product innovation and use of data’ and described the business as ‘impressive’. The Insurance Times Awards are often referred to as the Oscars for the general insurance industry. The Personal Lines Broker category recognises stand-out UK intermediaries setting the standard for others to follow.
Commenting on the win, John Woosey, Founder and Managing Director of Ripe Thinking, said: “The judges were looking for growth in a tough, competitive market plus innovation that benefits customers. Based in South Manchester and employing over 65 people, this year the company reported its eleventh consecutive year of growth, recently made ‘The Sunday Times Tech Track Ones to Watch Shortlist’ and the Northern Tech 100 list.
